Privacy notice
The short version
- Just reading these pages? We don't track you: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising tools. Our web host handles the usual technical details needed to deliver the page (section 2).
- If you send the quote form, we use your details only to handle your quote request: to reply with a quote, discuss your order, keep a record of the conversation and keep the form free of spam.
- We never sell your information, and sending the quote form does not add you to any mailing list.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time: hello@shabotlabs.com.
1. Who we are
This notice explains how personal information is handled on the Shabot Labs Can Studio at pages.aiomnihub.com/shabotlabs/can-studio/, its quote form, and the sample guest page at pages.aiomnihub.com/shabotlabs/sample/. These pages are run by Shabot Labs LLC ("Shabot Labs", "we", "us"), which is responsible for the information you send through them. Our address: 516 Wildwood Road, Allenhurst, NJ 07711.
This notice covers these pages only, not shabotlabs.com.
2. If you only browse
You can read these pages without giving us anything. They set no cookies, save nothing in your browser's storage, and load no analytics, advertising or social media tools. Everything shown, including fonts and images, comes from this same website.
The Can Studio runs in your browser. The 3D can, your colors and text, the QR code and the files you download (images and the 3D model) are all made on your device. They are not sent to us unless you send the quote form (see section 3). Downloaded files are never sent.
- If you upload your own logo, the file stays in your browser. It is not uploaded to us. If you send the quote form, we only learn that you added a logo, and we ask you for the file when we reply.
- If you press Share, your design (including the brand name, tagline and QR address you typed) is written into the page link after the # sign, so it is saved in your browser history and copied to your clipboard. That part of a link is not sent to our server, but anyone you give the link to can see your design.
The sample guest page has no form and no scripts. It collects nothing.
Like any website, these pages are delivered by a hosting provider, Cloudflare. Cloudflare receives the technical details your browser sends with every request, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page, so it can deliver the page and protect it from attacks. If a page fails to load, your browser may also send Cloudflare a short error report. We do not use these details to identify you or to follow you around the web.
Because these pages don't track you, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. No other company collects information about your browsing here for advertising or to follow you across sites. We use Cloudflare only to deliver and protect the page.
3. What we collect when you send the quote form
The quote form asks for:
- Your name and email address (required).
- Your company or organization, if you add it.
- About how many cans, the date you need them, the delivery city or region, what they're for and the plan you're interested in, if you fill these in, and anything else you write.
- A summary of your can design and a link to it. The link contains the design itself: brand name, tagline, edition and product lines, colors, finish, pattern, and the web address your QR code opens (which may be your own or your company's address).
- Whether you uploaded your own logo (yes or no). The logo file itself is never sent.
With it we also record:
- Which page you sent it from, and the date and time.
- How you found the page: the source tag in the link you followed, or else the address of the website that sent you, or "direct". For another website this is usually just the site's main address (for example www.google.com), but some sites send the full address of the page. If you came from another page on pages.aiomnihub.com, it is that page's full address.
- A scrambled code made from your IP address. We use your IP address only to limit how many messages one connection can send. We don't store the address itself: we store a one-way code made from it with a secret key, and the code changes every day. The code is deleted the next time anyone sends a message through any of the pages that share our records system (section 5), once it is more than two days old. If no further message arrives, it stays until one does, so it can be kept longer than two days.
The quote form also has a hidden field that people never see. If it is filled in, which usually means a spam robot, the message is thrown away and nothing is saved.
Please don't include sensitive information, such as health or financial details, in your message.
4. How we use it
- To read your quote request and reply to you by email with a quote.
- To keep a record of our conversation, so whoever replies knows what was said before.
- To protect the quote form from spam and abuse.
We don't send automatic emails. A person on our team reads your message and replies to you. Sending the quote form does not add you to a newsletter or marketing list, and we never sell your information or share it for advertising.
5. Where it's stored and who can see it
Your quote request is saved as a contact and a note in the customer records system (CRM) that we use on the AIO platform, run by AIOmnihub Inc., which operates the backend of these pages for us. This records system is shared by the Eddie Shabot, Shabot Labs, WYP and QueenMe pages because the four are related brands of Eddie Shabot's ventures and are managed together. Everyone with access to it, including people who work on the other three brands, can see your message. If the records system already has a contact with your email address, for example because you wrote to one of these pages before, your new message is added to that same contact record.
The platform's administrators can also see it. It is not public, and other businesses that use the AIO platform cannot see it.
These service providers handle it for us:
- Cloudflare hosts these pages, receives the quote form and passes it on securely.
- Supabase runs the database and the server function that saves your quote request. The database is in the United States (Oregon).
Your information may pass through Cloudflare servers near you on its way. It is stored in the United States (Oregon), so if you are outside the United States, it is sent there.
6. How we protect it
These pages and the quote form use an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your quote request is kept in a records system that only signed-in people with access to it (section 5) and the platform's administrators can open. It is never public. We never ask for passwords or payment details. No system is completely secure. If something happens that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your quote request for as long as we need it to reply and to follow up on the conversation, or until you ask us to delete it. Nothing deletes it automatically today, so if you'd like it gone, just ask.
When we delete it, a bare log entry remains showing that a quote request of a certain type arrived on this page at a certain date and time. It holds no name, email address or message, and the scrambled IP code is removed from it as described in section 3.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop contacting you.
To ask, write to hello@shabotlabs.com, and tell us the email address you used on the quote form so we can find it. We may ask you to confirm it's you before we act. We will reply and tell you what we have done. We won't treat you differently for asking.
Some US states, such as California, give their residents rights over their personal information, including the rights above. You can use them the same way, yourself or through someone you authorize. We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. If you live outside the US, for example in the UK or the EU, you have similar rights, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The Can Studio is for businesses and organizations ordering cans. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through these pages. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us at hello@shabotlabs.com and we will delete them.
10. Links to other websites
The footer link goes to shabotlabs.com. "Open the page your code opens" goes to the address you entered for your QR code, or to our sample page if you haven't entered one. The email links on the Can Studio open your own email app.
If you email us at hello@shabotlabs.com instead, your message goes to our mailbox that our team reads, not through the quote form. We use it to reply to you, and the choices in section 8 apply to it too.
Nothing is sent to another website unless you click a link. When you do, your browser's referrer tells that site only that you came from pages.aiomnihub.com. From then on, this notice no longer applies, and that site's own practices and any policies it publishes do.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
